This week I wish to look beneath the individual images themselves and explore the magic of elsewhere that pervades both the industry as a whole and, fundamentally, the representations of fashion on the page.

What we will discover is that it is the need for continual reinvention which prompts the dynamic forces of the fashion industry. Through a process of normalisation and defamiliarisation the course of Haute Couture and fashion photography progresses.
