VINTAGE HOW-TO: PICK ‘N’ MIX

ARE you feeling inspired by last time’s shameless propaganda, but still unsure that going vintage could really work for you? As a self-confessed vintage addict, I freely admit that I am biased. The world of vintage clothing can seem like a minefield.

So why not ease yourself in by indulging in a good old-fashioned bit of pick ‘n’ mix?

Pick your favourite high-street bottoms and mix them with a vintage top to create an outfit that is totally unique and yet totally wearable. Here I’ve mixed four of my most loved vintage tops from the 60s and 70s (I’m undeniably a hippy at heart) with two staple high-street bottoms: a pair of River Island Mom jeans and a mustard wool skirt from COS, to show you that adding a little excitement to your wardrobe doesn’t need to look like fancy dress. Trust me, you won’t be asked if you’re off to an ABBA tribute party...
